Spending time in nature significantly boosts children’s mental health, especially for those from lower-income households, according to a University of Glasgow study. Using GPS tracking to accurately measure children’s time in natural settings, researchers found that 60 minutes in nature daily halved the risk of mental health issues, with the greatest benefits for disadvantaged children. The study highlights the need for accessible green spaces in poorer areas to reduce health disparities and promote well-being.
